The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Power BI Developer to join Robert Walters Consultancy on a permanent basis as a Consultant. You will be a permanent employee of Robert Walters and deployed on an assignment with one of our clients, a major British Wealth & Asset Management business in London.
As a Consultant, you'll receive ongoing professional support and training from Robert Walters while gaining valuable experience working within a leading financial services organisation. In this assignment, you'll play a key role in a strategic Revenue Analytics project, designing and delivering high-quality Power BI reporting and analytical solutions that improve visibility of revenue performance and provide meaningful insight to support business decision-making.
This is a hands-on development role offering the opportunity to work closely with business and technology stakeholders, take ownership of solutions from requirements through to delivery, and make a tangible impact through data and analytics.
You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders, translating complex data and requirements into intuitive, scalable and well-controlled Power BI solutions.

What you'll be doing:
- Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models and datasets.
- Develop robust DAX measures, Power Query transformations and data models.
- Work with complex data from multiple sources and use SQL to support reporting and analytics.
- Translate business requirements into clear, intuitive analytical solutions.
- Create visualisations that highlight revenue trends, performance drivers, opportunities and risks.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, Data Owners, Architects, Engineers and SMEs to resolve data and delivery dependencies.
- Validate data accuracy, reconcile reporting outputs and ensure solutions are aligned to agreed business rules.
- Take ownership of solutions through requirements, development, testing, deployment and post-implementation support.
- Provide realistic estimates, manage your workload against agreed milestones and proactively communicate progress and risks.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and improve reporting processes and the end-user experience.
- Produce appropriate technical, user and support documentation.
Essential experience:
- Strong commercial experience delivering production-quality Power BI solutions.
- Excellent knowledge of Power BI, DAX, Power Query and data modelling.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with complex datasets and multiple data sources.
- Experience with Power BI performance optimisation and report design.
- Strong understanding of data quality, validation, reconciliation and controls.
- Confident engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into practical data and reporting solutions.
- Strong ownership and delivery focus, with the ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines.

Desirable Experience:
- Experience within Asset Management, Wealth Management, Private Banking or broader Financial Services.
- Experience with Snowflake, Azure data services, enterprise data warehouses or similar cloud data platforms.
- Exposure to revenue, profitability or commercial performance reporting.
- Experience working within Agile, project or change delivery environments.
- Knowledge of the wider Microsoft Power Platform and workflow automation.
