Job Title: Power BI Developer
Location: Remote (with occasional travel to the West Midlands office)
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum + Benefits
About the Role
Our professional services customer is embarking on an exciting digital transformation and have recently designed and built a modern data platform with an external delivery partner. As such we are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to take ownership of the reporting and analytics layer.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and a Senior Data Engineer, you will translate key KPIs into intuitive and accurate reporting solutions. Working alongside external partners to manage a smooth knowledge transfer of reporting solutions, you will then take ownership to support and extend the suite.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting Ownership: Own, develop, and maintain Power BI reporting solutions.
- Dashboard & Model Creation: Translate agreed KPIs and business requirements into robust Power BI models, DAX measures, interactive dashboards, and comprehensive reports.
- Data Integrity: Ensure all reporting output is accurate, fully reconciled and intuitive.
- Collaborative Transition: Engage with external development partners and key internal stakeholders during the transition phase to ingest the current data platform setup.
- Continuous Improvement: Understand the underlying dimensional data models to optimise and extend the reporting suite as business requirements grow.

Skills & Experience Required
- Power BI: Strong, demonstrable experience in Power BI, DAX, and semantic/data modelling.
- SQL skills: Ability to comfortably navigate and understand underlying dimensional data models in a modern data warehouse environment.
- Stakeholder engagement: Work closely with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into user-friendly analytics.

Nice to have:
- Experience working with MS Fabric within a modern data estate.
- Experience in professional services reporting (inc. financial data).
