Power BI Developer (6-Month Contract)

Inside IR35 - Up to £650 per day

Hybrid (3/4 Days on site) in Central London

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join the Risk Reporting team, delivering enterprise-scale dashboards, reports and semantic models that support business-critical reporting.

You'll be responsible for designing and optimising Power BI solutions, improving data performance, and helping automate reporting processes across a large-scale environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models.
  • Optimise large datasets, DAX calculations and report performance.
  • Build and maintain automated refresh processes using Python, Power BI APIs and PowerShell.
  • Implement security, governance and CI/CD best practices for Power BI.
  • Troubleshoot performance, refresh and gateway issues.
  • Work closely with the Risk Reporting team to deliver scalable reporting solutions.

Skills Required

  • Strong experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
  • Expertise in DAX, semantic modelling and SQL.
  • Experience optimising large Power BI datasets and performance.
  • Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, REST APIs and CI/CD.
  • Experience with Power BI Premium or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Financial Services or Risk Reporting experience is advantageous.
