The successful candidate will work closely with Digital, Data & Analytics, clinical, operational and corporate stakeholders, translating business requirements into effective technical solutions and helping the Trust make better use of its data.

  • NHS data quality and governance requirements
  • Digital, Data & Analytics teams
  • Complex healthcare information systems and multiple data sources

This is a hands-on role requiring strong experience across Power BI, DAX, Power Query/M, Dataflows and Microsoft Fabric, alongside the ability to work effectively within a complex NHS environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models to support clinical, operational, workforce, financial and corporate reporting requirements.
  • Take a lead role in the development and optimisation of Microsoft Fabric-based data and reporting solutions.
  • Design and maintain robust Power BI data models, ensuring data is accurate, performant and appropriately structured.
  • Develop complex DAX measures and calculations, with a focus on performance, accuracy and maintainability.
  • Develop, maintain and troubleshoot Power BI and Microsoft Fabric Dataflows.
  • Use Power Query and M to extract, transform, cleanse and prepare data from multiple NHS and corporate data sources.
  • Work with Trust data to identify trends, anomalies, inconsistencies and data-quality issues, supporting appropriate investigation and resolution.
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, intuitive and meaningful Power BI reporting for both technical and non-technical users.
  • Work with clinical, operational and corporate stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into appropriate reporting and data solutions.
  • Support the implementation of changes to data, reporting and analytical solutions, including appropriate testing, documentation and stakeholder communication.
  • Investigate and resolve issues relating to Power BI, Fabric, dataflows, datasets, data quality and reporting.
  • Support the improvement and modernisation of the Trust's existing reporting estate, identifying opportunities to improve performance, usability and efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and knowledge across Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and wider data and analytics activities.
  • Manage competing priorities and reporting requirements within a busy NHS environment.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation and knowledge transfer is maintained for developed solutions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
