Power BI Engineer - Contract
Inside IR35 | £550-600/day | Central London (2 days on-site per week) | Initial 6 Months
We're working with a leading organisation looking to engage an experienced Power BI Developer to support the delivery of a major global reporting programme.
This role is heavily focused on hands-on Power BI development, working from established designs and templates to build consistent, intuitive and high-quality reporting solutions. You'll be working closely with Data Engineers, Product Owners and business stakeholders, with Databricks forming a key part of the underlying data platform.
This would suit someone who is an out-and-out Power BI specialist with strong experience across visualisation, DAX, semantic modelling and connecting to modern data platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop interactive Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Build reports in line with established designs, templates and visual standards.
- Develop and maintain semantic models and datasets.
- Create and optimise DAX measures, calculations and filtering.
- Build intuitive multi-page reports with strong navigation and user experience.
- Connect Power BI to multiple data sources, including Databricks.
- Work closely with Data Engineers and business stakeholders to deliver accurate, consistent reporting.
Ideal Candidate
- Extensive hands-on Power BI development experience.
- Strong background developing complex, user-friendly reports and visualisations.
- Excellent understanding of DAX, filtering and semantic modelling.
- Experience connecting Power BI to Databricks and other enterprise data sources.
- Strong understanding of data modelling and reporting best practice.
- Comfortable working from predefined designs and maintaining consistent reporting standards.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
