Job Title: Microsoft Power Platform Administrator
Contract: Fixed-Term Contract – 12 Months
Location: Hybrid
Reports to: Head of IT

Role Summary
The Microsoft Power Platform Administrator will be responsible for the administration, governance, security, support and continuous improvement of the organisation's Microsoft Power Platform environment.
The role will oversee Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI, Microsoft Dataverse and Copilot Studio, ensuring the platform is secure, reliable, compliant and well governed.
Working with business stakeholders, developers, suppliers and citizen developers, the post holder will support the effective use of low-code technologies, improve business processes through automation and help identify opportunities to use AI and emerging Microsoft technologies.
The role will also ensure that Power Platform solutions follow appropriate security, compliance, information governance and change management standards. This position can be hybrid in any one of the UK sites (London, Manchester, Leicestershire etc) or remote first.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Power Platform environments, ensuring security, availability and performance.
- Manage the Power Platform Admin Centre, including environment creation, configuration, governance and lifecycle management.
- Develop and maintain Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and other platform governance controls.
- Manage users, security roles, permissions and access across Power Platform and Microsoft Dataverse.
- Monitor licensing, capacity, usage, costs and platform performance, providing regular reports and recommendations.
- Support solution deployment, release management and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting and root cause analysis for Power Platform issues.
- Work with business users and citizen developers to promote good practice and effective use of the platform.
- Maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, standards and support processes.
- Ensure Power Platform solutions meet relevant security, data protection and information governance requirements.
- Support integrations with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure and third-party systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, workflow optimisation and AI-enabled technologies.
- Support the governance and administration of Copilot Studio and other AI-enabled business solutions.
- Work with Microsoft and third-party suppliers to resolve incidents and support platform improvements.
- Keep up to date with Microsoft Power Platform developments, emerging technologies and industry best practice.

Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience administering Microsoft Power Platform environments within a medium or large organisation.
- Strong practical knowledge of the Power Platform Admin Centre.
- Experience administering Microsoft Dataverse, including tables, security roles and access controls.
- Experience managing Microsoft Entra ID groups, permissions and authentication.
- Good understanding of Power Platform governance, security and operational controls.
- Practical experience implementing and managing DLP policies.
- Understanding of security, compliance, data protection and risk management principles.
- Experience supporting solution deployment, change management and release processes.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to create and maintain clear, high-quality technical and user documentation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively across multiple activities.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, learning and innovation.

Desirable Skills and Experience
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Administrator Associate (PL-200 or successor certification).
- Experience developing Power Apps.
- Experience developing Power Automate workflows.
- Experience administering Power BI environments and workspaces.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 administration.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure services.
- Experience administering or supporting Microsoft Copilot Studio.
- ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent service management experience.
- Experience supporting citizen development programmes.
- Understanding of DevOps, source control and automated deployment practices.
