Power Platform Architect – Grade D1 (Invent at BT) – Internal Applicants

Your Role
As a Power Platform Architect, you’ll lead enterprise-scale low-code transformation, enabling organisations to rapidly deliver applications, automate workflows, and unlock data-driven insights across the Microsoft ecosystem.
Core Responsibilities

Design & Strategy:
- Develop enterprise-scale AI Business Solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, Copilot-enabled capabilities) and target architectures/roadmaps.
- Define secure, scalable solution, integration, and governance architectures to drive low-code transformation within wider enterprise change programmes.

Enterprise Leadership & Growth:
- Community Leadership: Act as Capgemini Invent’s Power Platform Architect, guiding functional and technical consultants via roadmaps, knowledge sharing, and capability expansion.
- Business Development: Lead pre-sales activity, RFPs, propositions, client pitches, and hosting while developing Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and demonstrator solutions.
- Internal Contribution: Develop campaigns, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, and operational improvement initiatives, including training, recruitment, and team-building activities.
- Learning & Development: Identify and internalise competence gaps to shape career progression and certifications.

Your Profile
You’ll be a technical innovator with a relentless focus on delivering business value, adept at navigating ambiguity and aligning high-impact outcomes with stakeholders. Your influence, communication, and ability to motivate technical teams will be key.
Essential Requirements

Expertise in architecting and executing AI-powered business solutions using:
- Power Platform (Power Apps, Automate, BI, Dataverse, Power Pages, Copilot Studio)
- Microsoft AI capabilities (AI Builder, generative AI business automations)
- Enterprise-level integrations with Azure, APIs, identity/services, and data platforms
- Governance frameworks (DLP policies, environment management, security, ALM)

Strategic thinking to align technology solutions with business objectives while balancing Microsoft Power Platform’s potential with real-world application.

Strong communication skills to translate technical complexities to non-technical stakeholders while driving executive buy-in.

Ability to mentor team growth via formal/informal line management, coaching, and training initiatives.

UK Security Clearance eligibility (or clearance).
Desirable Attributes
- Certifications in:
- Microsoft Power Platform (e.g., PL-900/Digital Workplace , PL-200/Developer , PL-400/Solution Architect , PL-600/Cloud Architect)
- Power BI, data analytics, or automation specialisms
- Enterprise architecture (TOGAF, modelling tools) or cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect)
- Agile delivery & API/messaging platforms theory/practice

Criteria
- You’ll need frequent travel flexibility for onsite client assignments. Office hubs are in London, Manchester, or Glasgow, but assignments could require short-notice relocations.
