Power Platform Business Analyst

Manchester (Hybrid) | Public Sector Digital Transformation

Are you a Business Analyst looking to build your expertise in Microsoft's Power Platform while working on meaningful, large-scale digital transformation programmes?

A leading global management consultancy is seeking a Power Platform Business Analyst to join its growing digital transformation practice and support a high-profile Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) programme.

This opportunity combines the scale and impact of one of the UK's largest public sector transformation programmes with the career development opportunities offered by a world-class consulting organisation. The Role

As a Power Platform Business Analyst, you'll act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly understood, documented, and translated into effective technology solutions.

You'll work closely with delivery teams, Power Platform specialists, and business stakeholders to shape and support the delivery of impactful digital products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and opportunities
  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements
  • Translate business requirements into clear technical requirements and user stories
  • Facilitate workshops, requirements sessions, and stakeholder meetings
  • Support the design and delivery of Microsoft Power Platform solutions
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practice business analysis approaches

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years' experience working as a Business Analyst
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and refining business requirements
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
  • Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform through project delivery, hands-on experience, or business transformation initiatives
  • Experience working in Agile or similar delivery environments

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, or Power BI
  • Experience supporting digital transformation programmes
  • Experience working within large, complex organisations or public sector environments

Location & Travel

  • Hybrid working with approximately 2 days per week in Manchester
  • Occasional travel to Blackpool and Newcastle as required by the programme
  • All business travel associated with project delivery is fully expensed

Recruitment Process

  • Initial interview with Business Analysis and Power Platform specialists
  • Final interview with the DWP delivery team

Start Date

We're looking for candidates who can join the programme by mid-October, therefore applicants with shorter notice periods are particularly encouraged to apply.
