Description
Join our Business Excellence Digital team as a Power Platform Developer, where you will design, build, test, deploy, and support business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will transform business requirements into practical digital solutions that improve processes, increase efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Reporting to the Power Platform & Integrations Manager, you will play a key role in developing internal applications, automations, and workflows while ensuring solutions align with established architecture, security, and governance standards. You'll collaborate with colleagues across multiple functions, contribute to wider digital projects, and provide ongoing support and enhancements to existing solutions.
This role offers a predominantly remote working environment, with occasional travel to UK sites for workshops, testing, deployment, training, and support activities. We're looking for someone with strong Power Platform development experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for digital innovation, continuous learning, and keeping up to date with the latest Microsoft technologies and platform capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and support business solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
- Build and maintain Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, workflows, automations, and integrations that drive business efficiency.
- Configure and manage Dataverse tables, forms, views, business rules, relationships, and security roles.
- Develop and support integrations using connectors, APIs, JSON, OData, and related technologies.
- Follow application lifecycle management (ALM) best practices, including solution management and controlled deployments.
- Conduct testing, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing support to ensure reliable and secure solutions.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective digital solutions.
- Collaborate with reporting, document management, and wider digital teams on cross-functional projects.
- Maintain technical documentation and ensure solutions comply with governance, security, and data protection standards.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying automation opportunities and leveraging new Power Platform and AI capabilities.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps), Power Automate, and Dataverse.
- Experience with data modelling, forms, views, business rules, security roles, and workflow automation.
- Knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), including solution management, environment variables, connection references, and deployments.
- Experience integrating systems using REST APIs, JSON, OData, and related technologies.
- Understanding of security, governance, data protection, and best practices within the Power Platform.
- Experience troubleshooting, supporting, and maintaining business-critical applications.
- Ability to create clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working within Agile environments and using tools such as Azure DevOps.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Microsoft Power Platform certification, such as PL-400, or equivalent training.
- Experience with Power Apps Code Apps, Dynamics 365, or enterprise application development.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, C#/.NET, or custom connector development.
- Experience with Azure services such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, or API Management.
- Understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, integrations, and application permissions.
- Exposure to Power BI, Copilot Studio, AI-enabled solutions, or Azure AI technologies.
- Experience delivering digital transformation or business improvement projects.
