2885 – Power Platform Developer
Join a people-centred technology team that thrives on innovation, collaboration and delivering meaningful outcomes. We are looking for an experienced Power Platform Developer to design, develop and support innovative business solutions using Microsoft's low-code technology stack. This role will play a key part in delivering digital transformation initiatives, helping organisations streamline processes, improve productivity and maximise the value of their Microsoft investment.
Working closely with business stakeholders, solution architects and technical teams, you will develop scalable, secure and supportable applications using Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Power Pages. You will contribute across the full solution lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through to development, deployment and ongoing support, ensuring solutions align with business objectives and governance standards.
📍 Location: Aberdeen preferred. Remote UK candidates will also be considered, provided they can attend our Aberdeen office approximately once per month (expenses paid)

What you’ll do
- Capture and translate business requirements into scalable Power Platform solutions, ensuring both functional and non-functional requirements are clearly defined and agreed with stakeholders
- Design, build, test and deploy Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, Dataverse solutions and Power Pages applications in line with approved architecture, security and governance standards
- Develop and maintain Dataverse data models, including relational data structures, security roles, business units, column-level security and data validation frameworks
- Design and implement integrations between Power Platform, enterprise applications, APIs, ERP systems, databases, Azure services and custom connectors to support end-to-end business processes
- Establish and manage application lifecycle management (ALM) processes, ensuring controlled deployment and promotion of solutions across development, test and production environments
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, test scripts, release notes, administrator guides, user documentation and knowledge transfer materials to support operational adoption
- Provide post-deployment support, including hypercare, incident resolution, defect remediation and service transition activities, ensuring solutions remain secure and supportable
- Contribute to Power Platform governance, coding standards and reusable development practices across the organisation

What to bring
- Proven experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform
- Strong expertise across:
- Power Apps
- Power Automate
- Dataverse
- Power Pages
- Microsoft 365
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Experience building business applications, workflow automation solutions and data-driven applications using Power Platform technologies
- Strong understanding of Dataverse architecture, security models and data management principles
- Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with APIs, Azure services, third-party applications and enterprise systems
- Knowledge of application lifecycle management, solution deployment and environment management within Power Platform
- Understanding of security, governance and compliance considerations within Microsoft 365 environments
- Experience producing technical documentation and supporting solutions through testing, deployment and operational handover
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desirable Experience
- Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management or other Azure integration services
- Experience working with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform
- Experience working within regulated or enterprise-scale environments
- Relevant Microsoft certifications in Power Platform, Azure or Microsoft 365
