Power System Network Model Engineer - SCADA telemetry and mapping

Clearance: SC cleared or eligible

Working arrangement:

  • SC cleared: hybrid, two to three days onsite.
  • SC eligible: onsite five days per week.
  • Must remain UK-based.

Essential skills:

  • Electricity transmission network modelling within an Energy Management System (EMS).
  • Modelling substations, busbars, circuit breakers, transformers, transmission lines, and generators.
  • Network topology, connectivity modelling, and relationships between electrical assets.
  • SCADA telemetry and mapping live monitoring data to network equipment.
  • Experience with GE PowerOn, GE XA/21, or comparable transmission EMS platforms.
  • Understanding of state estimation, power flow, and contingency analysis.
  • Experience working for transmission operators, electricity utilities, or grid control centres.
