PPA Cover Teacher – Croydon

Location: Croydon, South London

Salary: £160–£200 per day, depending on experience

Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary

Start date: 21 September 2026

A welcoming primary school in Croydon is recruiting a versatile PPA Cover Teacher to deliver high-quality planned lessons across the school. This is an excellent long-term role for an experienced teacher who enjoys variety, quickly builds rapport and can maintain consistent expectations in different classrooms.

Planning will be provided, allowing you to focus on strong delivery, pupil engagement and useful feedback. The timetable may include classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, so flexibility and sound primary curriculum knowledge are important.

The PPA Cover Teacher will:

  • Teach pre-planned lessons across a range of year groups
  • Establish calm routines and manage behaviour consistently
  • Adapt teaching so all pupils can participate and make progress
  • Mark work and provide feedback in line with school policy
  • Communicate clearly with class teachers and phase leaders
  • Contribute positively to the school’s inclusive culture

  • UK QTS and recent primary teaching experience
  • Confidence teaching across more than one key stage
  • Strong classroom management and adaptability
