PPA Teacher: Lambeth: 4 Days per Week
Location: Lambeth, South London
Start Date: January 2027
Contract: Part-time, long-term
Working Days: Tuesday to Friday
Salary: Inner London MPS, pro rata
Are you a confident and adaptable Primary PPA Teacher looking for a part-time teaching role from January? A welcoming primary school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated teacher to provide PPA cover across the school four days per week, from Tuesday to Friday.
This is a varied role suited to a teacher who enjoys working across different year groups, can deliver engaging lessons independently and is comfortable teaching music as part of the wider curriculum.
The Role
Responsibilities
As a PPA Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering planned lessons across different year groups to provide PPA cover for class teachers.
- Teaching music confidently and engaging pupils through practical, creative activities.
- Adapting teaching to meet the needs of pupils with different abilities and learning styles.
- Building positive relationships with pupils and maintaining consistent classroom routines.
- Running targeted interventions with the Year 6 cohort to address learning gaps and support progress ahead of SATs.
- Working with class teachers and the senior leadership team to ensure continuity of learning and effective assessment.

The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for a PPA Teacher who:
- Holds QTS and has experience teaching in a UK primary school.
- Is confident delivering lessons across the primary age range.
- Is comfortable teaching music and delivering engaging, practical lessons.
- Can plan and deliver focused interventions to support Year 6 attainment.
- Has strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills.
- Is flexible, reliable and able to work collaboratively with colleagues.
