PPC and SEO Executive | £35,000 DOE | Derby, office based

OHEAP Fire and Security is hiring a PPC and SEO Executive to run paid and organic search across our service business and ecommerce brands, managing Google Ads budgets of £30,000 to £60,000 per month.

About Us

OHEAP Fire and Security is a third-generation, family-run business that has protected people, property, and assets since 1958. From our Derby head office, we deliver fire protection, security systems, and workwear to businesses nationwide, with more than 40,000 sites protected.

Our work is backed by BAFE, NSI Gold, FIA, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and Cyber Essentials accreditations. Alongside the service business, we run a growing group of ecommerce sites selling fire safety and PPE products, including Fire Protection Shop, Fire Detection Shop, Trade Fire, and Online Safety Supplies.

The Role

You will run paid search and organic search day to day. The job is hands-on: you will build and optimise campaigns, research keywords, write content, and work through technical SEO fixes yourself.

You will report to the Digital Marketing Manager and work alongside colleagues who cover email, social media, PR, and web development. The role suits someone who is comfortable being accountable for spend and results, and who wants to split their time between paid and organic rather than specialise in one.

What You Will Do

Paid Advertising

  • Build, manage, and optimise Google Ads Search and Shopping campaigns across our service and ecommerce sites
  • Manage Google Merchant Center product feeds, fixing disapprovals and improving titles, attributes, and feed quality
  • Run keyword, search term, and negative keyword reviews to cut wasted spend
  • Write and test ad copy, assets, and landing page variations
  • Set and adjust bidding strategies against ROAS, CPA, and lead targets
  • Check conversion tracking is accurate across Google Ads and GA4

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
