Who is Genie Shopping?
Genie Shopping is a UK-based, high-growth performance marketing business operating through the affiliate channel and CSS ecosystem. As a certified Google CSS Premium Partner, we work with retail giants like Boots, ebay, Frasers, B&Q, Currys, and Lookfantastic, serving over 57 billion ad impressions to users across our network.
We differentiate ourselves through our managed CSS CPA model and our technical scale. We don’t act as a traditional CSS; we act as a performance partner. Alongside our self-managed SaaS offering, our core revenue comes from our CPA model, which means our success is directly aligned with our clients'. We are a driving force in the industry, leading the conversation through education, sponsorship, and active event contribution. This approach has led to huge success, doubling our growth in 2024 and setting new records in 2025.
The team is distributed, but has fluidity in meeting in-person for client meetings, industry events, strategy days and team socials. There are requirements to travel to Cambridge around once a month, with London (or other UK locations) once a month on average. Please read on for tailored requirements for this role during onboarding.
We are a certified Great Place to Work with a remote-first setup. Our environment is small (~20 people) but ambitious. We value:
- Autonomy: We hire people who want to own their output. If you love solving complex problems and implementing your own ideas, you will thrive here.
- Connection: We prioritize culture over geography. We get together for proper team socials every quarter - think punting, cocktail making, and go-karting, to ensure we stay connected as people, not just colleagues.
Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and analytical Shopping Strategist to join our Paid Media team.
As a Google Premium CSS Partner, Genie Shopping manages Shopping campaigns for over 1,000 retailers across Google and Microsoft Ads, investing millions of pounds each month on behalf of our clients. Our model is unique, combining large-scale automation with data-driven decision making to maximise profitable growth.
As a Shopping Strategist, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of a large portfolio of retailer campaigns, ensuring they operate efficiently within Genie Shopping's proven frameworks. You'll monitor performance, investigate issues, implement new features and contribute to continuous improvements across the platform.
This is an ideal role for someone with a solid grounding in PPC or eCommerce who enjoys analysing data, solving problems and continuously improving performance. You'll play an important role in ensuring our campaigns execute consistently and effectively.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

From day one through end of January: You will need to be based in our Cambridge office 3 days a week (with the exception of Christmas and New Year time) to collaborate closely with the Paid Media team.
Thereafter, you will transition to our standard distributed working arrangements with monthly visits to the Cambridge office (minimum) plus occasional travel for meetings.
