Tech Connect Group has partnered with a national agency in their search for a Paid Search Ads Lead to support their Digital Marketing team. You will lead strategy, delivery and performance across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and other advertising platforms for a diverse portfolio of clients. Combining hands-on platform expertise with strategic oversight, you will ensure campaigns are data-driven, innovative and aligned with client objectives.

This is a lead-level role with a broad remit spanning client strategy, campaign quality, team development, pre-sales, research and service innovation.

Based in Southampton or Salisbury, this business offers great flexibility (flexi hours between 8am and 5:30pm) and hybrid working (3 days from home).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead agency-wide paid search strategy, establish best practices across Google/Microsoft Ads, and align campaigns with client KPIs.
  • Plan, optimise, and manage advanced campaign types (Search, Shopping, PMax, Video) and precise tracking/conversion setups.
  • Lead client relationships independently, present strategic insights, and support pre-sales, pitching, and cross-channel account expansion.
  • Train and mentor team members, review account builds for accuracy, and collaborate with Paid Social and wider agency teams.
  • Build custom analytics dashboards, analyse attribution and behaviour data, and oversee clear performance reporting across the client portfolio.
  • Drive structured testing, stay ahead of AI/platform trends, and help maintain official Google Partner and platform certifications.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

  • Extensive hands-on agency experience managing large budgets, campaign strategies, and forecasts across Google and Microsoft Ads (Search, Shopping, PMax, Video, Display).
  • Deep expertise in GA4, Google Tag Manager, conversion tracking, attribution models, and turning complex data into commercial insights.
  • Strong organisational skills: manage multiple client accounts simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and communicate recommendations clearly.
  • Proven track record of mentoring colleagues, reviewing account builds, and elevating execution standards across the wider team.
