PQE (Product Quality Engineering) AMS Engineer
Location: Stevenage / Bristol / Bolton, UK
Work Mode: Fully Onsite – 5 Days a Week
Contract Duration: 1 Year
Security Requirement: SC Cleared / SC Eligible
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced PQE (Product Quality Engineering) AMS Engineer / QA Automation & DevSecOps Engineer with strong expertise in Eggplant Automation, JFrog Artifactory, JFrog Xray, AMP_L Platform, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and automated testing.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated quality engineering solutions, integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, and supporting secure, compliant, and high-quality software releases within an AMS (Application Management Services) environment.
The role involves close collaboration with Development, Infrastructure, DevOps, Release Management, Security, and Business teams to improve software quality, automation, release reliability, and continuous testing.
Candidates must have completed SC Clearance or be eligible to obtain SC Clearance. Previous SC Clearance experience is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Product Quality Engineering / QA Automation
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions using Eggplant Functional and Eggplant DAI.
- Develop and maintain model-based testing, AI-driven testing, end-to-end testing, regression testing, and integration testing suites.
- Perform functional testing, API testing, integration testing, and system validation.
- Execute cross-platform testing across web, desktop, and integrated enterprise applications.
- Integrate automated testing into the overall Quality Engineering strategy.
- Analyze automated test results and provide actionable quality metrics and reports.
- Participate in test planning, test strategy, defect triage, and root-cause analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve test automation, test coverage, and release quality.
DevSecOps & CI/CD
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools.
- Develop, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates.
- Implement continuous testing and shift-left quality engineering practices.
- Support automated deployment validation and release readiness.
- Work closely with DevOps, Release Management, and Infrastructure teams to improve deployment reliability.
- Support DevSecOps implementation by integrating security and compliance checks into delivery pipelines.

AMP_L / JFrog Platform
- Support the AMP_L Platform with a focus on JFrog Artifactory and JFrog Xray.
- Support artifact repository management, artifact lifecycle management, and repository governance.
- Assist with dependency management and package governance.
- Utilize JFrog Xray for vulnerability scanning, security compliance, and license compliance.
- Support vulnerability and license compliance scanning as part of release processes.
- Ensure validated and compliant artifacts progress through controlled deployment workflows.
- Support release teams with artifact validation and release readiness activities.
AMS / Application Support
- Provide AMS / Application Management Services support for enterprise applications.
- Troubleshoot automation, CI/CD, testing, and deployment issues.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to resolve defects and production issues.
- Support incident, problem, and change management activities where required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of AMS processes, automation, and service reliability.

- Experience working with enterprise-scale CI/CD, automation, and quality engineering environments.

Education
- Bachelor's Degree in:
- Engineering
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Software Engineering
- Or another relevant technical discipline.
Security & Eligibility Requirements
- Candidates must have completed SC Clearance or be SC eligible.
- Candidates with previous SC Clearance are highly preferred.
- Candidates should be based within reasonable commuting distance of Stevenage, Bristol, or Bolton, or be willing to travel regularly to the customer/site.
- This is a fully onsite role – 5 days per week.
