This independent specialist communications consultancy are big hitters in their space and have an intellectual and strategic approach to often very sensitive work. As the offering and company continues to grow and evolve, they are looking to boost their team with an Account Director to be the day to day lead across client work and play a wider role in the business as well.
The work they tend to do is often quite sensitive and they have done a lot of work supporting public sector organisations, charities and businesses across very delicate and emotive situations. They don't tend to do the big corporate "obvious" crisis work such as fuel shortages for airlines at present and it is much more specialised advice for specific situations and clients. They tend to focus more on the less high profile issues an organisation can face and therefore the ones not thought about previously and that can trip up an organisation and impact their reputation.

To be successful in this role you must already be working in a PR agency or communications consultancy and specifically have extensive experience of working on crisis and issues communications. Ideally you will have around three or four years’ experience in this type of environment and if you have worked with public sector clients that is a bonus. More generally you will be able to deal with complex and sensitive issues with compassion and a clear head for the best communications strategies to support an organisation and their reputation. People who do well here tend to be proactive, self starters who thrive given the chance to share their ideas and grow in the direction they want to. People here are commercially minded, motivated but also very collaborative.

The team in this communications consultancy are amazing. They are super smart, very down to earth people. It is the rare blend of people who are intellectually robust but also very low egos! There is loads of autonomy but also plenty of support and guidance from amazing senior leaders too. Being independent means people progress at their own pace so many people have shot up the career ladder very quickly and been supported (financially and beyond) with wider external training as well.
They are based in Central London and offer hybrid working of three days in and two flexible. As well as salary they have great benefits and a good bonus as well.
