About The Role
We’re looking for a driven ambitious and experienced Account Executive to join our team in Manchester.
This is a pivotal agency role where you’ll help deliver excellent day-to-day client work across a varied mix of consumer and B2B accounts, while playing an important role within the wider team.
You’ll support the delivery of integrated PR campaigns, develop compelling content, build relationships with journalists and media contacts and identify opportunities that help our clients stand out. You’ll also work closely with colleagues across the agency, contributing ideas, research and insight to client campaigns and new business opportunities.
We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and keen to build their career in communications. You’ll be a confident writer, a creative thinker and someone who enjoys working at pace, building relationships and getting under the skin of different clients and sectors.
The day to day
- Playing a key role in the delivery of integrated PR campaigns for clients, including developing compelling press materials, securing media coverage, engaging with influencers and creators and supporting social media campaigns
- Managing media relations activity across consumer, trade and business media, including media monitoring, trends analysis, opportunity spotting and journalist liaison
- Drafting a range of client and campaign materials, including press releases, features, thought leadership content, issue briefings, statements and stakeholder communications
- Building and managing media and forward feature lists, identifying and recommending relevant opportunities across national, consumer, regional, trade and business media
- Conducting effective media sell-ins, tailoring stories and angles for different audiences and identifying the strongest opportunities to secure client coverage
- Communicating accurately and proactively, keeping teams and clients informed on progress, managing expectations and escalating issues when needed
- Organising and supporting client meetings, including preparing agendas, capturing key discussions and sharing clear follow-up actions
- Delivering accurate, high-quality written communications across a range of formats, including pitches, quotes, emails, status and contact reports and social media content
- Managing departmental administration and supporting the wider team, ensuring internal processes are followed and deadlines are met
- Building strong relationships with journalists and media contacts across relevant consumer, national, regional, trade and business titles
- Supporting new business activity, including participating in brainstorms, conducting research, contributing ideas and helping to prepare proposals and pitches

What Will Give You The Edge
- A strong desire to build and develop your career in public relations
- An understanding of the UK political landscape and its impact on engagement activity, or an interest in developing your knowledge in this area
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and accurately across different formats and audiences
- Confidence building relationships with colleagues, clients, journalists and other stakeholders
- A strong understanding of digital and social media
- Personal drive, curiosity and a genuine passion for the communications industry
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- A creative approach to thinking and problem-solving
- The ability to manage multiple and changing priorities while meeting deadlines
- The ability to assimilate information quickly and recommend a practical response
- A proactive, collaborative and can-do approach to working as part of a team
