Analyst – Corporate & Financial Communications
London | Hybrid Working
About Us
At CDR UK, we are specialists in corporate reputation, advising some of the world’s most high-profile organisations as they navigate complex reputational challenges. From crisis management and corporate positioning to long-term stakeholder engagement, we provide thoughtful, trusted advice that helps our clients protect and grow their reputations.
With particular expertise across the financial services sector, we combine specialist knowledge with a strong understanding of the wider business, political and media landscape.
As part of Accordience Group, we offer the scale and opportunities of a global network alongside the collaborative, supportive environment of a specialist consultancy.
The Role
We’re looking for an ambitious and curious Analyst to join our London team. This is an established Analyst position, broadly equivalent to Account Executive/Senior Account Executive level, and would suit someone who already has experience within a communications agency and is ready to take the next step in their career.
You’ll have a strong grounding in the fundamentals of corporate communications and be ready to take greater ownership of your work, build your client and media relationships, and further develop your strategic communications skills.
Working as part of our specialist financial and corporate communications team, you’ll support high-profile clients, help shape impactful communications programmes and contribute ideas that strengthen both our clients’ reputations and our own business.
If you’re interested in business, finance and the world around you, enjoy working at pace and want to develop your career within an ambitious, collaborative and supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
No two days are the same in strategic communications, but you can expect to:
- Prepare for and contribute to client meetings, including drafting agendas, activity reports and other materials with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Support the submission of company announcements to the Regulatory News Service (RNS) of the London Stock Exchange.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis to inform client strategies, recommendations and communications programmes.
- Monitor news, media coverage and wider market developments, identifying stories and issues that could impact our clients.
- Spot emerging news, media and editorial trends and help translate these into proactive opportunities and advice for clients.
- Develop targeted media lists and increasingly take ownership of media outreach.
- Continue to build strong relationships with journalists and other key media contacts.
- Independently draft high-quality communications materials, including press releases, social media content, blogs and other written materials, with limited input from senior team members.
- Support the delivery of client campaigns and projects, taking ownership of agreed activities and deadlines.
- Contribute to new business pitches and proposals, including research, ideas and content development.
- Support CDR’s own marketing and profile-building activity, including content for channels such as LinkedIn.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
