We are an integrated media & communications agency of 45+ working for and partnering with some of the best tourism boards, travel companies, and airline partners in the world. Clients include Visit California, Zurich Tourism, Los Cabos Tourism Board, Meribel Tourism, and Tahiti Tourism.

We occupy a unique niche as the only full-service travel and tourism specialist agency in the UK offering creative, media, PR, trade, and data insights services. We have been awarded for some of the most effective creative, integrated, and experiential campaigns in travel and tourism.

We were recently acquired by one of the US’s most exciting travel and tourism consultancies and are working closely with them on our next phase of growth and expansion.

Office days (full company) are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. WFH days are Monday and Friday, but the office is always open for staff. We operate flexible hours, so employees can choose to start between 8-10am and finish between 5-7pm.

THE ROLE

A fantastic role has become available for a PR Account Executive to join the Black Diamond Travel PR team, offering the right candidate the opportunity to excel within a fast-based small team and a dynamic hands-on agency.

The role will support the PR Account Manager and the wider PR team across a range of client accounts. The PR AE will be responsible for executing a wide range of day-to-day PR activities, including creative story pitching, planning and hosting press trips, as well as developing strong relationships with the media.

No day-to-day is the same at Black Diamond, but the role will involve:

  • Working with exciting destination accounts from around the world
  • Creative proactive and reactive media relations with UK & Irish press
  • Press release and newsletter writing
  • Arranging individual and group media visits (some travel is required)
  • Working on influencer projects and content creation campaigns
  • Monthly report compiling and valuation of cuttings
  • Working on events (media and consumer)
  • Keeping abreast of travel and media trends
  • Building up a solid network of key contacts within travel and lifestyle media
  • Working within a small PR team and reporting into a Manager

ABOUT YOU

You will be a skilled communicator and writer, ideally with 1-2 years’ experience working within a press office team. You’ll have a curious mind, with a keen interest in modern culture, travel, and lifestyle, and have the ability to work in a team environment with positive energy, respect, and confidence.

Having an understanding of the ever-changing media landscape, including how to work with influencers, will be an advantage. Ideally, you will have experience working in the travel industry, but a willingness to learn and be passionate about your clients is more important than previous industry experience!

The right candidate must be able to multi-task, have excellent organizational skills, and good attention to detail. A willingness to travel to some of the best destinations on earth is essential, as is enthusiasm for attending out-of-hours media networking events on behalf of clients and the agency.

A full current UK driving license is preferred.
