About White Cube
White Cube was set up by Jay Jopling in 1993 as a project room for contemporary art. The gallery has since grown into one of the most influential commercial galleries in the world, representing internationally renowned artists such as Georg Baselitz, Tracey Emin, Antony Gormley, Mona Hatoum, Anselm Kiefer, Liu Wei, Park Seo Bo, Doris Salcedo and Jeff Wall. White Cube’s exhibition programme extends across locations in London, Hong Kong, Paris, New York, Seoul and online. Since its inception in 1993, the gallery has exhibited the work of many of the world’s most highly acclaimed contemporary artists.
The role
The PR & Communications Apprentice will support the day-to-day running of the Press department while gaining hands-on experience in one of the world’s leading commercial galleries.
The role requires a passion for working in communications in the arts and a strong interest in learning about artists and the art sector. Being thorough, proactive and professional at all times, while having a strong eye for detail and consistency, is key, as is the ability to balance a varied workload.
While an enthusiasm for contemporary art and communications is important for you to be considered for this role, prior experience working in a museum or gallery is not required.
Hands-on training will be provided, from how to develop and follow a communications strategy and how to pitch to journalists, to how to create a strong CV.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
