PR & Communications Assistant | Full Time, Permanent | Birmingham

Our client, a City-led international client with offices all across the UK, Asia, and Europe, is looking for a PR & Communications Assistant to join their Marketing and Business Development team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-starter looking to build their career in PR, media relations, and external communications within a fast-paced, professional services environment.

Reporting to the Head of PR and working closely with the PR & Social Media Executive, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of external communications and helping to grow the firm’s profile through creative storytelling.

Your Role Will Be to:

  • Support the Head of PR in developing PR strategy in line with business development campaigns
  • Generating news stories and PR hooks
  • Building relationships with journalists and key stakeholders
  • Researching new media outlets and making recommendations for pitches
  • Drafting and distributing press releases, briefings, and Q&A documents for national, trade, and regional press
  • Tracking media coverage and developing reports

Applicants Must Have:

  • Experience developing PR that stands out, enhances brand reputation, and protects it where needed
  • Writing press releases, content
  • You will have started to build media relationships and feel confident engaging with external stakeholders, journalists, etc.
