PR Intern – Student Work Placement
Founded in 2010, Glassworks is a fresh London-based fashion brand – totally independent, style-obsessed and passionate believers in bricks-and-mortar boutiques as well as streamlined digital shopping. Limited, weekly runs of completely new fashion mean a constant feed of newness without end of season waste. With our ecommerce store and additional online channels, we are focused on scaling revenue and continuing to develop our brand and industry presence.
THE ROLE
Glassworks is offering a Student Work Placement within our Marketing team, based at our East London press office and photography studio.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong interest in fashion PR and independent fashion brands to gain hands-on experience supporting the day-to-day running of fashion PR.
The successful applicant will support the team with:
- Press and influencer research
- Personalised outreach and follow-ups
- Product loans
- Contact and outreach tracking
- Building relationships across the fashion industry

This is an on-site placement in London, so applicants must be available to work from our East London location.
The successful applicant must be 18 or over and should be smart, energetic, organised, responsible and proactive, with a genuine interest in fashion PR. You should be able to research accurately, communicate clearly and keep track of deadlines and follow-ups.
No previous experience is required, although previous fashion PR or social media placement experience would be helpful.
What You Will Do & Learn
- Research relevant journalists, publications, influencers and potential brand partners.
- Support personalised PR outreach and follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate contact, outreach and response trackers.
- Help coordinate product loans to editors, stylists and influencers.
- Learn how fashion brands build and maintain relationships with journalists and social media influencers.
- Support relationships with digital and print publications.
- Assist with promoting new collections to the wider fashion industry.
- Learn how fashion marketers identify potential brand partners and develop new industry relationships.
- Bring forward relevant ideas and take initiative when completing assigned work.
- Develop experience working in a creative, fast-paced independent fashion brand.

PLACEMENT DETAILS
- Location: East London press office / photography studio
- Working arrangement: On site
- Days: 3–5 days per week
- Schedule: We are open to working around university schedules
- University placements: We can accommodate university-mandated work placements
- Placement duration: To be agreed based on the applicant’s availability and/or university requirements
