PR Manager – Personal Finance
A growing Manchester fintech is looking for a PR Manager with substantial experience delivering campaigns for major personal finance brands.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who understands the consumer finance market, has strong media relationships and can turn complex financial topics into compelling stories. You’ll shape the PR approach, work closely with senior leaders and help build the business’s profile as it enters its next stage of growth.
We’re particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate how their PR campaigns have improved visibility in AI-generated search results and increased organic search traffic.
What you’ll do
- Develop and deliver a PR strategy that supports the company’s growth ambitions.
- Identify compelling stories and secure coverage across consumer, personal finance and national media.
- Build relationships with journalists, editors and influential voices in personal finance.
- Write press releases, expert commentary, briefings and thought leadership content.
- Prepare senior leaders for interviews and media opportunities.
- Work with marketing, content and SEO colleagues to strengthen brand visibility across traditional search and AI-powered discovery.
- Deliver campaigns aimed at increasing the brand’s inclusion, mentions and citations in relevant AI-generated answers.
- Measure campaign results, including quality of coverage, brand visibility and changes in organic search traffic.

What we’re looking for
Strong personal finance PR experience is essential. You’ll have worked in-house or through an agency on substantial campaigns for established consumer finance brands, such as Co-operative Bank, MoneySuperMarket or comparable businesses.
You’ll bring a deep understanding of financial products, consumer money concerns and the personal finance media landscape, alongside a proven ability to secure meaningful coverage.

- Evidence of PR campaigns that improved brand visibility within AI-powered search or answer engines and contributed to increased organic search traffic.
- The ability to explain your campaign approach, how you measured results and the evidence linking activity to outcomes.
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate financial subjects clearly and accurately.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with senior leaders.
- A hands-on approach to planning, pitching, writing and relationship building.
Your application should include examples of the personal finance brands you’ve supported and the measurable results of your campaigns, particularly across AI search visibility and organic traffic.
