About the opportunity
Via is partnering with a growing B2B technology company to recruit a PR & Marketing Executive.
The business develops AI technology for the financial services sector, helping organisations improve operations, manage risk and deliver better outcomes for their customers.
This is primarily a PR and communications role, so we're looking for someone with genuine hands-on UK PR experience rather than a generalist marketer.
You'll help build the company's profile across the UK through media relations, proactive pitching, thought leadership and wider communications. You'll work directly with journalists, senior leaders and subject matter experts to turn complex business and technology topics into stories that resonate with a B2B audience.
Previous experience within financial services would be particularly valuable, although candidates from B2B technology, fintech, SaaS or other relevant B2B sectors are also encouraged to apply.
What you'll be doing
- Build and maintain relationships with UK business and trade journalists
- Proactively pitch stories, commentary, interviews and contributed articles
- Identify relevant news opportunities and develop timely media angles
- Support PR campaigns around company news, product launches, research and customer stories
- Help manage the day-to-day UK press office
- Respond to journalist enquiries and coordinate interviews
- Write press releases, media pitches, commentary and briefing materials
- Develop relationships with journalists covering financial services, fintech, technology, compliance and risk
- Maintain the PR, communications and editorial calendar
- Work with senior leaders and subject matter experts to develop thought-leadership content
- Turn complex financial services, AI and technology topics into clear and engaging communications
- Develop customer stories, case studies and testimonials
- Support research reports, whitepapers, webinars and other B2B content
- Develop LinkedIn content and external communications for senior leaders
- Identify relevant speaking opportunities, podcasts, conferences and industry panels
- Coordinate award entries and industry recognition opportunities
- Support analyst relations and research briefings
- Work with the wider Marketing team on events, webinars, roundtables and campaigns
- Support internal communications around company news, customer wins and product developments

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
