PR & Marketing Executive

Location: Remote first but available for in-person collaboration in Edinburgh or London

About Aveni

Aveni is redefining how financial institutions use AI. We build real, production-ready AI solutions that help financial services firms transform how they operate, manage risk, and deliver better outcomes for their customers.

We’re looking for a PR & Marketing Executive to help build Aveni’s profile across the UK financial services market and support the delivery of our PR, communications, and wider marketing activity.

This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who knows what makes a good story, enjoys building relationships with journalists, and wants to develop their career at the intersection of AI, fintech, and financial services.

The Role

Working closely with the Head of PR & Communications, you’ll help tell Aveni’s story to the market, building relationships with journalists and industry influencers, identifying opportunities for Aveni to contribute to the conversation, and securing relevant media coverage.

You’ll support the development of proactive PR campaigns, commentary, and thought leadership around Aveni’s business priorities, product developments, customer successes, and the wider issues shaping financial services.

The role goes beyond traditional media relations. You’ll also contribute to customer stories, executive and internal communications, events, awards, speaker opportunities, analyst relations, and wider marketing campaigns.

You’ll work across Aveni, collaborating with Marketing, Sales, Product, Customer Success, and senior leadership to make sure our communications are timely, consistent, and aligned with our brand and market positioning.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists across UK business, financial services, fintech, compliance, risk, and technology media, proactively pitching stories, commentary, interviews, and contributed content.
  • Support the development and delivery of PR campaigns around Aveni’s business priorities, product launches, research, customer stories, and relevant market developments.
  • Help run Aveni’s day-to-day press office, responding to journalist enquiries, identifying commentary opportunities, coordinating interviews, and preparing briefing materials.
  • Maintain our communications and editorial calendar across PR, thought leadership, research, webinars, awards, speaking opportunities, and company announcements.
  • Work with Sales and Customer Success to identify and develop compelling customer stories, case studies, testimonials, and joint communications.
  • Support internal communications, helping colleagues stay informed about company news, customer wins, product developments, events, and media coverage.
  • Work with Aveni’s senior leaders and subject matter experts to build their external profiles through LinkedIn content, commentary, talking points, and other communications.
  • Support our thought leadership programme, helping develop webinars, research reports, whitepapers, and other content around the issues that matter to our market.
  • Identify and coordinate relevant conference, panel, podcast, and webinar speaking opportunities, as well as industry awards.
  • Support our relationships with industry analysts and research organizations and help coordinate analyst briefings and materials.
  • Work with the wider Marketing team to support conferences, roundtables, webinars, and customer events.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
