My client is an established communications consultancy with a growing specialist financial communications offering. They are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Account Manager or Account Director to join their London team, working across a portfolio of Capital Markets and corporate communications clients.
This is a particularly good opportunity for someone who enjoys the pace and complexity of financial communications and wants significant responsibility across client relationships, media activity and strategic advice.
The Role:
The majority of your work will sit within Capital Markets, alongside a smaller proportion of broader Financial Services and corporate communications work.
You'll work closely with senior colleagues and clients, taking ownership of day-to-day account delivery while also contributing to wider strategic projects and business development.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking ownership of client accounts and acting as a trusted day-to-day point of contact.
- Advising clients on communications activity around financial and corporate announcements.
- Supporting listed businesses through key points in their financial calendar, including results.
- Preparing and coordinating RNS announcements, from drafting through to final approval.
- Developing media strategies and securing coverage across the financial and business press.
- Building and maintaining relationships with relevant journalists and analysts.
- Providing clients with clear media intelligence, reporting and analysis.
- Helping clients navigate potentially sensitive or high-profile communications issues.
- Contributing to wider corporate reputation and Financial Services projects.
- Getting involved in pitches, proposals and other new business opportunities.
- Supporting the delivery of client events and meetings.
- Working with junior colleagues and helping them develop their skills.
- Taking an active interest in the wider financial, political and business news agenda.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience with FTSE 100 or FTSE 250 businesses would be advantageous.
We're open to candidates at either Senior Account Manager or Account Director level. The key requirement is strong, relevant Capital Markets experience and the ability to operate confidently with clients.
The Team:
You'll be joining a specialist team, meaning there is plenty of opportunity to have visibility across client work and make a meaningful contribution.
The environment is collaborative and fast-moving, with a strong emphasis on sharing ideas, supporting colleagues and taking ownership rather than operating within a heavily layered structure.
The role would suit someone who enjoys a varied workload, likes being close to clients and is keen to continue building their reputation within financial communications.
