About the Role

Based in London, we currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Account Manager. You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of client accounts, supporting revenue growth, developing team members and identifying opportunities to maximise client exposure.

Main Duties

  • Managing the day-to-day running of client accounts, ensuring PR activities are delivered seamlessly and to the required standard.
  • Developing and directing campaigns to promote clients’ activities, policies and public image.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with existing and new media contacts to maximise publicity opportunities.
  • Drafting creative and effective press releases, articles, profiles and other content to promote clients and their activities.
  • Identifying opportunities to secure broadcast coverage and maximise client exposure across relevant media.
  • Assist in devising and implementing creative and strategic promotions.
  • Organising and participating in trade shows, press trips, media events and familiarisation trips, as well as meetings, social functions and networking events.
  • Understanding and monitoring the client’s budgets to ensure that services provided are within agreed financial limits.
  • Developing and motivating team members, identifying training needs and helping ensure the team has the skills and support needed to deliver effectively.
  • Assisting with new business development.

We’d Love to Speak to Someone With:

  • At least four years’ experience in PR or a similar role, including a minimum of one year in an Account Manager position.
  • Previous knowledge or experience in the travel industry.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to understand clients’ businesses, key issues, competitive advantages and identify opportunities to promote their activities.
  • Strategic and creative thinking skills, with the ability to develop ideas and identify opportunities beyond traditional press releases, case studies and features.
  • Excellent copywriting skills, with the ability to communicate key messages clearly, concisely and creatively, requiring minimal amendments.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage workloads, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Confidence presenting ideas and proposals to clients and communicating effectively with contacts at all levels.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the initiative to address client communications and issues promptly and escalate matters when necessary.
  • The ability to develop and support team members, identify training needs and contribute to the wider team’s development.
