£45,000 – £60,000 | Full-Time | Office Based

Are you an experienced Practice Accountant looking to join a well-established accountancy practice where your expertise is valued and your career can continue to grow? We're looking for a technically strong and client-focused accountant to join a successful and expanding practice based in Woking. Working with a varied portfolio of SMEs and owner-managed businesses, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services while building lasting client relationships.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Preparing year-end accounts for SMEs and owner-managed businesses
  • Completing personal and business tax returns
  • Managing VAT returns and ensuring HMRC compliance
  • Supporting clients with bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Responding to client queries and providing practical accounting advice
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with clients
  • Assisting with a variety of accounting and advisory projects across the practice

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice
  • Strong knowledge of UK tax and VAT legislation
  • Experience preparing statutory accounts, tax returns, and bookkeeping
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple client priorities
  • Professional, personable, and committed to delivering excellent client service
  • Experience with probate accounts or estate administration would be an advantage, but is not essential
