Job Description
Your role will involve supporting TMLEP’s evidence team to manage their legal caseload.
You will be working from system queues, arranging appointments, uploading information, preparing documentation liaising with both TMLEP’s evidence team, and clients (both solicitors and clinicians) to ensure the effective delivery of TMLEP’s medical malpractice evidence services.
TMLEP have clear progression opportunities available for individuals who excel in the role and have a passion to specialise in clinical negligence.
Key Skills Required
- You will be responsible for autonomously assisting with a high volume of clinical investigations and must ensure that TMLEP’s services are delivered effectively at all times; it is, therefore, essential you are able to effectively manage your time and handle multiple tasks in a confident, efficient, and timely manner.
- You will be continually writing emails and speaking to lawyers and healthcare professionals over the telephone, therefore you will need to have excellent writing and communication skills.
- You will be reviewing large amounts of information, usually at speed, therefore you must have an eye for detail so you can detect issues at a glance.
- You will be working independently (once you are fully trained), therefore you must be very self-motivated and self-disciplined.
- TMLEP routinely handle urgent and time-sensitive matters, therefore you must be able to work to tight deadlines and in stressful situations, occasionally outside typical office hours.
- You must be eligible to work in the UK (without requiring a visa or sponsorship).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
