We are looking for a dynamic and organised individual to join Hillcrest Medical Centre, Wrexham. This practice is currently being managed by the Local Health Board.
The successful candidate will possess excellent organisational skills and have the ability to engage with colleagues at all levels to provide an efficient, comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to the practice.
Previous experience of working within a GP Practice would be beneficial and knowledge of the EMIS Web clinical system is desirable, however training can be given.
Main Duties of the Job
- Undertake any clerical duties required by the Senior Leadership Team including any non-clinical administration duties as requested by the team.
- Proficient IT skills (including experience of Microsoft Office) is also required as the post holder will also be undertaking a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth day to day running of the practices, including some data inputting. Audio typing and knowledge of medical terminology would also be an advantage.
- Through correspondence and telephone queries, deal with patients, relatives, carers, GP’s etc, promptly and efficiently exercising own judgement to resolve patient queries within their professional constraints.
- The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Maths/English GCSE or equivalent
- Typewriting/Word Processing qualification - RSA III or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- NVQ 2 in administration or equivalent
- ECDL
- Audio Typing RSA III or equivalent
Experience

- Comprehensive secretarial experience
- Experience of general office procedures
