Practice Administrator & PA | Central London | Competitive | Full-time, permanent
A support seat with the next step already mapped
The client was direct about who this role is for. In their experience the right person is already doing support work at another practice, doing it well, and waiting for a route up that is never going to come. This role exists to be that route.
The day to day is a PA and administrator's job, and the brief does not dress that up. Diary management, working in Salesforce, and case writing at a straightforward level to start with. There is routine work in it, and the client has said plainly that whoever takes this needs to be willing to do that work in order to learn the practice properly from the ground up.
Running alongside it is the practice's training programme and the R0 exams, with the stated intention that you move into a Wealth Manager role in roughly three years. That timescale is the client's own, not an aspiration added to make the advert read better.
The start is timed on purpose. They want someone in towards the end of the year so there is a genuine overlap with the person currently doing the job, who leaves around March. You would be handed over to rather than dropped in.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who This Could Suit
Someone currently in a support or administration seat at a wealth management practice who has done the job well and watched the progression never arrive. The client has said plainly that this is where they expect the right person to come from.
A practice administrator or client services person with SJP experience who has either started the R0 papers or wants to, and needs an employer that will actually back them through it.
Someone comfortable saying out loud that they want to be advising clients in three years. This is not a role for a career administrator, and the client is not pretending otherwise.
