New Park Court Chambers is a leading Barristers’ Chambers providing advisory and advocacy services, with a pre-eminent reputation for its criminal, regulatory, civil and family work. Chambers has over 80 Barristers, including 17 KCs in Leeds and Newcastle, where both barristers and staff are recognised for providing professional, client-oriented and efficient services.
Practice Assistant
Chambers now seeks a Practice Assistant to join their forward-thinking and friendly team to be based in our Newcastle Office. Reporting to the Practice Director and working closely with colleagues, the Practice Assistant will assist and support with the delivery of a first class and professional service to clients and members of chambers.

Duties
- Managing phone enquiries from barristers, solicitor clients and other professionals.
- Distributing and actioning emails and saving documents to the LEX system.
- Monitoring status of cases and liaising with Fees Team.
- Providing general administration support, managing post/couriers.
- General reception duties.
- Managing meeting room facilities and conferences, including IT (video conferencing).
- Supporting Chambers' marketing events – materials, invites, refreshments.

The Person
- Well organised and keen to provide outstanding service levels.
- Able to multi-task and take on and complete competing deadlines.
- Strong communicator and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Hard working and willingness to learn and develop.
- Strong IT skills.
