Dental Practice Coordinator
Bupa Dental Care Steeple Grange Dental Care, Wirksworth 📍 36 Steeple Grange, Wirksworth, Matlock DE4 4FS
Hours: 38.75 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:15pm
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

At Steeple Grange Dental Care, we're looking for an organised, proactive and people-focused Practice Coordinator to become an integral part of our thriving private and specialist referral practice.
This is more than an administration role. As the right-hand support to our Practice Manager, you'll play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, acting as a deputy manager when required and helping to create an exceptional experience for both patients and colleagues.

Steeple Grange Dental Care is a well-established Private and Specialist Referral Practice with an excellent reputation for patient care, clinical excellence and teamwork.
Located in the beautiful market town of Wirksworth, our practice sits in the heart of Derbyshire, surrounded by stunning countryside, independent shops, cafés and local attractions. With plenty of free street parking available, commuting is straightforward and stress-free.
What You'll Be Doing
As Practice Coordinator, you'll support the Practice Manager across operational, administrative and people-focused activities, including:
- Supporting the overall day-to-day running of the practice
- Acting as Deputy Manager in the Practice Manager's absence
- Coordinating administrative and operational processes
- Supporting the reception team during busy periods and providing front-of-house cover when required
- Helping maintain exceptional patient service standards
- Supporting compliance, scheduling and practice procedures
- Assisting with team coordination and communication
- Contributing to a positive, high-performing and patient-centred culture

- Have previous experience within dental, healthcare, hospitality or a customer-focused management environment
- Are highly organised with excellent attention to detail

Practice Coordinator Responsibilities
- Lead the practice team to assist in the provision of dental care services to patients.
- Comply with the Practice Business Plan and assist the manager in its implementation and delivery at the practice.
- Work with the Clinical Team and other internal departments to ensure the practice remains compliant with the General Dental Council and CQC guidelines, to ensure the delivery of first-class patient care
- Reception duties as required

Practice Coordinator Skills And Experience
- Personable, positive and enthusiastic with a great customer focus
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Previous administrative experience preferably in a dental or other healthcare environment
- Competent using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Dental nursing experience desirable
