Band 6 Practice Development Nurse
Are you an experienced Band 6 Critical Care Nurse who has a desire to educate, motivate and inspire others? If the answer is yes, then please apply for the role of ‘Practice Development Nurse’ working within Critical Care and Surgical Special Care.
The successful candidate will be part of a team who are fully integrated into the multi-disciplinary workforce to ensure everyone has the clinical skills, knowledge and experience to deliver gold standard nursing care.
The successful candidate will be an expert critical care nurse who, through innovation and creative license, will deliver the education strategy and continuously evaluate staff competence ensuring that development is aligned to the Critical care vision.
The post holder will lead on the implementation of education, development plans, induction, mentoring and preceptorship and the ongoing professional development of all critical care staff. The post holder will assist in the delivery of robust programmes of education, and participate in audit to evaluate effectiveness and maintain standards of nursing care. The Practice Development Nurse will act as a credible and professional role model, empowering staff to develop both personally and professionally to achieve their maximum potential.

The Practice Development Nurse will participate in innovation and evidence-based nursing practice through professional leadership and supporting the clinical team.
- Work closely with the Senior Clinical Staff Nurses for Quality to support and educate the clinical team.
