As a Practice Host, you’ll be the first point of contact for our clients and play an important role in creating a welcoming, organised and professional experience within the practice.
You’ll be responsible for greeting clients, answering calls, booking appointments and supporting the smooth running of the reception area. You’ll also help with patient check-ins and weigh-ins, ensuring both clients and their pets feel comfortable and well looked after throughout their visit.
We’re looking for someone who is friendly, organised and confident communicating with a wide range of people. You’ll need strong attention to detail, the ability to manage competing priorities and a proactive approach to supporting both clients and the wider practice team.
If you enjoy working with people, care about delivering excellent service and would like to work in a busy veterinary environment, we’d love to hear from you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
