Practice Manager | Brighton
Background
This is a genuine opportunity to lead practice management for a stable, well-established single-site surgery with a supportive partnership and a strong, low-turnover clinical team. The incoming Practice Manager will take on full oversight of the practice at an important point in its development, with real scope to shape systems and processes rather than simply keep things ticking over. The practice is based on the Brighton coast, within easy reach of the wider city and its excellent transport links. Brighton city centre is around 15 minutes away by car, with Lewes around 25 minutes and Eastbourne around 30 minutes, making the role accessible for candidates commuting from across the wider Sussex coast.
The Practice
- Mid-sized, single-site practice with a strong partnership team and a large salaried GP team
- Supported by a broad multidisciplinary team, including advanced nurse practitioners, clinical pharmacists and a paramedic practitioner
- Long-serving, stable clinical staff group with low turnover
- Active member of a local Primary Care Network
- Rated Good by the CQC

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
