5 days / 40 hours per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday | 9:00am – 5:30pm)

At Bayfields Opticians & Audiologists, we are looking for a strong, commercially minded Practice Manager to lead our Oxted practice. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Dispensing Optician who enjoys coaching and developing people, driving performance and creating an environment where both clients and colleagues thrive.
About the role
As Practice Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day running and performance of the practice, leading your team to consistently deliver obsessively great service through our Welcome, Discover, Delight client journey. You will be a visible and inspirational leader, coaching, mentoring and developing your team while ensuring the practice achieves its commercial and operational goals.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading, coaching, mentoring and developing the practice team to reach their full potential.
- Creating a positive, high-performing team environment where people feel supported, motivated and accountable.
- Driving sales and performance to achieve and exceed practice budgets and targets.
- Understanding and using Management Information (MI) to monitor performance and maintain all areas of the budget.
- Ensuring spend and stock control is tightly managed.
- Leading and implementing change effectively, bringing your team with you through new initiatives and ways of working.
- Ensuring we consistently deliver our Welcome, Discover, Delight client journey and provide an obsessively great client experience.
- Managing all aspects of the practice rota, ensuring sufficient cover is available at all times.
- Working collaboratively with other Practice Managers across the area to maintain adequate team cover where required.
- Carrying out all required people management responsibilities, including performance management, coaching and development.
- Using your commercial understanding to identify opportunities, improve performance and maximise the success of the practice.

About you
We are looking for someone who is FBDO qualified and GOC registered, with proven experience of successfully managing a team and delivering against commercial targets.
You will be:
- A qualified FBDO Dispensing Optician with GOC registration.
- An experienced Practice Manager or an experienced Dispensing Optician ready to take the next step into management.
- A confident and inspirational people leader who enjoys coaching and developing others.
- Commercially focused, with a proven track record of achieving sales and performance targets.
- Comfortable working with MI, budgets, stock and financial information.
- Organised and able to manage rotas, holidays and practice resources effectively.
- Confident in implementing and leading change.
- Someone who takes ownership, makes things happen and holds themselves and others accountable.
- Passionate about delivering an outstanding client experience.
- A great communicator who builds strong relationships with colleagues, clients and other Practice Managers.
- Excited to embark upon a new challenge and opportunity with Bayfields.
