We Are Hiring
Cybersecurity Practice Manager
Take ownership. Set the standard. Deliver results.
This is not a caretaker role. GRC Solutions is looking for a decisive, hands-on leader to take full ownership of our Penetration Testing Team — accountable for delivery quality, team performance, and the commercial results of the practice. If you want a role where the buck stops with you, read on.
The Opportunity
You will run the Testing practice as if it were your own business: setting the standard, driving performance, and making the calls that keep engagements on track and clients coming back. You own the outcome — good or bad — and you expect the same accountability from everyone around you.
What You'll Own
- Full accountability for the leadership, governance, and operational performance of the Penetration Testing Team
- Technical oversight of complex penetration testing engagements — scoping, quality assurance, and final sign-off on client deliverables
- The practice's technical standards, methodologies, and tooling — you decide what stays, what goes, and what gets adopted next
- Financial performance of the practice: utilisation, profitability, and cost control against agreed targets
- Final point of escalation for delivery risk, resourcing conflicts, and high-stakes client situations
- Pre-sales technical authority — approving Statements of Work, shaping bids, and leading major tenders
- Recruitment, development, and performance management of a team of senior consultants and testers

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What You Bring

- A track record of leading technical teams and owning financial performance against hard targets
- Senior-level industry certification — CREST CCT, CHECK Team Leader, or equivalent demonstrable capability
- A record of making the tough call under pressure, backing your team, and taking ownership when things go wrong
- The confidence to challenge technical assumptions in the room — with clients, partners, and your own team
- Little patience for mediocrity, and the drive to push the practice forward rather than maintain the status quo

Why This Role
Full autonomy to run the practice your way, backed by a leadership team that expects results and gets out of your way to let you deliver them. Clear accountability, clear targets, and the authority to match. This is a role for someone who wants to build something and be judged on the outcome — not manage a process.
