About The Role
We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, well-motivated Practice Supervisor to join the FAST team in the Hambleton area. You will be working in a team that is constantly trying to improve outcomes for safeguarding children and supporting their families.
The team is committed to work with children and their families/carers, using a range of solution-focused, strength-based relationship practice models, including Signs of Safety, Systemic theory and the Family Finding approach. We are looking for colleagues who can help us continue to offer a unique service and truly make a difference to the young people of our county.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily supervision to Social Workers
- Support risk management and decision-making
- Mentor colleagues and help develop their practice
- Lead on quality assurance and performance monitoring
- Chair multi-agency meetings and attend child protection conferences

It is an exciting time in Children and Young People's Services in North Yorkshire as we plan our approach in respect of the Families First Partnership Programme and how we will be responding to the social care reforms. Work is underway to plan our approach and implementations for 2027. As a result of this, some realignment may happen with job roles in the future, we want to be transparent about this in respect of this role.
