Job Description
This is a fixed term for 12 months from start date to cover maternity leave. Full time band 7 Practitioner Psychologist based in the All Wales Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service at Llandough Hospital.
The post holder will work closely with the CF psychology team and CF MDT to provide direct psychological care to those living with cystic fibrosis and their families to help them manage the psychological aspects of living with CF.
Main Duties
- Psychological assessment and intervention for individuals living with cystic fibrosis and their families
- Support to manage treatments and medical investigations
- Support to make decisions about treatment options
- Strategies for coping
- End of life care
- Support for other difficulties such as trauma, anxiety, and depression
Additional Responsibilities
- Supporting the CF MDT
- Consultation, joint working, supervision groups
- Teaching and training
