Role Description
The Praktikant role at Desperately Cinema is a full-time, on-site position based in England, United Kingdom. The Praktikant will support the production team in day-to-day tasks such as assisting with script development, pre-production planning, and coordinating shoots. Responsibilities may include helping with camera and lighting setups, managing basic sound recording, and organizing production logistics on set. The Praktikant will also assist with post-production activities, including reviewing footage, preparing rough cuts, and supporting video editing workflows. Additional tasks can include research for ongoing projects, organizing project files, and contributing creative ideas to enhance storytelling and visual quality.

Qualifications

- Foundational skills or interest in video production, including basic understanding of filming, sound, and lighting.
- Familiarity with scriptwriting, storyboarding, or narrative development for visual media.
- Basic experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) and post-production workflows.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work respectfully in diverse creative teams.
- Demonstrated creativity, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback in a professional setting.
- Relevant academic background or training in film, media, communications, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Availability to work full time on site in England, United Kingdom, and flexibility for occasional extended hours during production days.
