Pre-Academy Regional Centre Coordinator (Casual Role)

An exciting opportunity to oversee and deliver the operations and training programme for the Under 6 to Under 8 groups at our Pre-Academy regional centres.

The Role

We are looking for a Pre-Academy Regional Centre Coordinator on a casual, part-time basis, who will be entrusted to oversee and deliver the operations and training programme for the Under 6 to Under 8 groups at our regional centres, whilst working closely with support departments to deliver both on and off field success.

We therefore require successful candidates to complete a DBS check and other essential background checks prior to starting their employment. Depending on the responsibilities of the role, a DBS will be either a basic, standard, or enhanced check.

Your day-to-day

  • Align with our Talent ID team - you will be linking with our Scouts to invite players from grassroots football to train with us at our regional centres
  • Design and present coaching strategies - you'll passionately deliver coaching strategies for all players from our Pre-Academy coaching programme whilst ensuring the agreed approaches are implemented within agreed timescales
  • Prepare and submit appraisals - you will create player appraisals ahead of discussions with our Pre-Academy leadership team
  • Produce critical documentation - you'll diligently plan and submit session plans, match and attendance reports and reviews
  • Uphold our high standards - you will take responsibility for ensuring our Pre-Academy equipment is efficiently managed and utilised
  • Conduct vital player reviews - you'll collaborate with our Pre-Academy Leads and undertake regular player reviews communicating with players, parents and our Pre-Academy workforce
  • Contribute to important future-focused discussions - you will partner with our Recruitment team and be an active participant in defining retain and release strategies

What We Are Looking For

  • In-depth knowledge of football - you possess thorough knowledge of the football industry, the rules and regulations governing players and recruitment within it, and you're up to date with current coaching and training processes
  • Credible expertise - you hold either a UEFA B Licence, Advanced Youth Award, UEFA A Licence or a UEFA Pro Licence and an FA Talent ID qualification and FA Safeguarding Children Certificate
  • Effective communication skills - you're able to build and maintain impactful relationships with parents/guardians, coaches and players of varying ages, tailoring your approach as necessary
  • Passion for talent development - you have enthusiasm for player and staff development and you're an excellent role model for young players
  • Best-in-class attention to detail - you're well versed in producing insightful written reports and delivering verbal feedback with the utmost clarity, and you constantly ensure that FA and Premier League guidelines and regulations are adhered to

Position of Trust - As someone in a position of trust role involving regular, direct contact with children or vulnerable adults you will be expected to uphold high standards of conduct to prevent abuse, including sexual, physical, or emotional harm. This role requires you to keep updated with both Club and FA Safeguarding training and education

Please note: this role will require you to hold a valid driving license
