The Role
The Pre-Construction Administrator provides essential administrative and project coordination support to the wider Pre-Construction and Operations team. Working alongside Design, Estimating, Business Development and Operations, you'll ensure utility applications, project information and customer requests are managed accurately and efficiently.
This role plays a vital part in delivering an excellent customer experience by helping projects progress smoothly from enquiry through to construction. You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate project information, coordinating applications with utility providers and supporting colleagues across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities
Project Administration
- Set up new projects on Alconex portal
- Create and maintain Plot Detail spreadsheets
- Create and maintain Plot to Property (P2P) spreadsheets
- Maintain project records and trackers, ensuring information is accurate and up to date
- Prepare and issue Developer Packs
- Obtain statutory utility plans for new developments
- Request highway plans
Utility Applications
- Submit and manage MPAN and MPRN requests and amendments
- Submit water plot connection and meter requests for incumbent water connections
- Chase outstanding Schedule 1 agreements with utility providers
Financial Administration
- Raise Purchase Orders (POs)
- Process payments on behalf of the Pre-Construction team
- Process Last Mile water invoices
- Maintain the Last Mile water invoice tracker
Team Support
- Book hotels and travel arrangements where required
- Support colleagues with administrative activities and project coordination
- Assist Design, Estimating and Project Coordination teams to ensure projects progress efficiently
- Respond to internal and external customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and support continuous improvement across the department
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Excellent organisational and administration skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently
- A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to support colleagues

Desirable
- Experience within construction, utilities or housebuilding
- Knowledge of utility connection processes
- Experience using customer or utility portals
- Experience raising Purchase Orders and processing invoices
- Experience maintaining project trackers or databases
