Pre-Construction Commercial Manager

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Commercial professional looking for something different?

Our client is seeking a Pre-Construction Commercial Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping future developments, supporting business growth and influencing commercial decisions from the earliest stages of the project lifecycle. This is a rare opportunity to utilise your residential or main contracting experience in a more forward-thinking and commercially strategic environment, while still applying the technical and commercial expertise you've developed throughout your career.
The Role
- Working closely with senior leadership, you will lead a small, high-performing team responsible for commercial input during the pre-construction phase of major projects.
- You will provide commercial leadership across land appraisals, cost planning, procurement strategy, risk management and bid support, helping to ensure projects are commercially robust before they reach site.
- This role offers the opportunity to influence key business decisions, improve processes and contribute to the long-term success of a well-established and highly respected organisation.

What We're Looking For
- Degree qualified Quantity Surveyor or Commercial professional
- Strong background within residential development, housebuilding or main contracting
- Excellent commercial acumen and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to lead, mentor and develop a small team
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Desire to move into a broader, business-focused commercial leadership role
