BAM UK&I is recruiting a Pre-Construction Director based in the Western region
This is an excellent career opportunity for an individual who wants to bring dynamism and creativity to our Pre-Construction activities, and help shape the future strategic direction of our business within the South West.
Making Possible
- Responsible for Pre-Construction activities for the business unit, supporting business development, marketing, client and consultant engagement and early identification of opportunities.
- Maintain a client network to help develop collaborative procurement.
- Support the strategy developing operational plans as part of the Senior Management Team responsible for the overall management of the business.
- Establish individual target project strategy with the Senior Management.
- Supporting completion of PQQ’s and tenders.
- Management of the BAM group tender process and the preparation and supervision of quality submissions, including bid writing and graphics.
- Responsibility for Pre-Construction team members’ development.

Your team
To be based from our Bristol office with regular travel across the region.

What do you bring to the role?
- You will have considerable experience in a Pre-Construction role for a main contractor leading Pre-Construction teams on tenders up to £200m.
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential and the ability to effectively engage with clients and external consultants while building relationships internally and externally.
- Thorough understanding of Health and Safety and the proactive opportunities during pre-construction to influence better performance.
- You will understand both private and public sector project procurement processes, including frameworks, and be comfortable working in a time critical, fast moving environment.
- A degree qualification or equivalent and CIOB or equivalent.
