Preconstruction Manager

Location: London / South / Hybrid

Hours: 40 Hours per week

About the Role

Kier Places are recruiting for a Preconstruction Manager to join our Building Solutions South team, particularly focused in London and reporting to the Senior Preconstruction Manager. With our diverse portfolio of projects coming online, we are looking for an individual who has passion for preconstruction lead activities whilst also being able to work as part of a close-knit team. You will support the Senior Pre-Construction Manager to deliver Pre-Construction services, providing leadership and guidance whilst managing teams at bid stage and during Pre-Construction service agreements. Working for a diverse client base and frameworks, you will be involved in contract values ranging up to £20m within a mixture of both construction and refurbishment schemes.

Responsibilities

As a Preconstruction Manager, You'll Be Working Within The Building Solutions South Team, Supporting Them In Delivering Pre-Construction Services For Traditional Or Design And Build Projects. Your Day To Day Will Include

  • Managing and coordinating Pre-Construction activities from tender issue through to handover to the operational team for delivery
  • Working collaboratively with governance, commercial, estimating, planning, and design management teams to ensure milestones are achieved
  • Full engagement with clients to instil confidence in the team's ability to deliver projects, maintaining focus on objectives and managing client relationships
  • Identifying risks and mitigation measures to ensure projects are de-risked during the Pre-Construction period
  • Managing the workload of the Pre-Construction team to ensure balance and wellbeing

Requirements

This role of Preconstruction Manager is great for you if:

  • You hold a Full driving licence and CSCS Card
  • You have an HNC/HND/Degree in a construction or engineering subject and/or membership of a relevant body (CIOB, APM, CIAT, RICS)
  • You have previous Pre-Construction experience on projects up to £20m with strong experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • You have a proven record of successful multi-project delivery through management of skilled teams
  • You excel in working as part of a team with strong communication, time management, and organisational skills
