The Shore Group has been appointed by one of the workplace sector's most respected names to recruit a Pre-Construction Manager. With a track record of delivering award-winning workplaces, the business has built its reputation on doing things the right way, attracting great people, delivering quality projects and creating long-term client partnerships.

This is an opportunity to join a highly respected contractor with an exceptional reputation for delivering design-led workplace, commercial and corporate occupier projects. The business is looking to strengthen its front-end capability with the appointment of an experienced pre-construction professional.

The Opportunity

As Pre-Construction Manager, you will take ownership of opportunities from initial client engagement through to project mobilisation, ensuring schemes are commercially robust, operationally deliverable and positioned for success from day one.

Working closely with Business Development, Design, Commercial and Delivery teams, you will play a key role in shaping solutions, leading work-winning activity and building trusted relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.

This is a highly visible position within the business, offering genuine influence over how projects are secured and delivered.

About You

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • A successful track record within commercial office fit out, workplace interiors or design & build which must include CAT B (project value between £5 Million - £15 Million)
  • Experience leading the Preconstruction for Office Fit Out projects
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
  • The ability to build credibility with clients, consultants and internal teams alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the pre-construction process across multiple projects.
  • Drive client engagement throughout bid, negotiation and appointment stages.
  • Coordinate Design, Commercial and Operational teams to develop winning solutions.
  • Oversee tender strategy, project planning, risk identification and value engineering.
  • Support client presentations, interviews and work-winning activity.
  • Develop procurement and delivery strategies in collaboration with project teams.
  • Ensure seamless project handover from pre-construction to delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and best practice across the business.
