What you will be doing

  • Develop and implement the pre-construction strategy for the strategic unit in line with business growth objectives.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the pre-construction team, including Project Consultants and Pre-Construction Design Engineers.
  • Support senior leadership in identifying target sectors, clients and project opportunities.
  • Contribute to annual business planning, forecasting and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Ensure close collaboration between the Big Projects Pre-Construction team and other Pre-Sales teams within the HBS organisation, across the North Region and other key geographical regions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, façade consultants, contractors, developers and sub-contractor partners.
  • Work closely with Communication and Marketing teams to ensure the Wicona Big Projects Strategic Unit is visible at key industry events and in the market.
  • Collaborate with product development and product management teams to identify market requirements and future system enhancements.
  • Represent the business in presentations, design workshops, client meetings and industry events.
  • Help convert opportunities into profitable projects while ensuring technical excellence and commercial viability.

What will make you successful?

  • Strong understanding of aluminium system design, specification, testing and performance requirements.
  • Experience working with architects, façade consultants, main contractors, developers and local as well as cross-border sub-contractors.
  • Commercial acumen and contract awareness, combined with the ability to balance technical excellence with business objectives.
  • Confidence in client-facing situations, including presentations, design workshops and industry events.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and regions, and to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of sustainability standards, embodied carbon assessments and modern construction methods.
  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is desirable.
